There is no author that makes me cry quite like Riley Hart does... and I am thankful for that with every word I read! I needed this happy, sexy, moving story. I'd just finished a series about a serial killer, and while it was hot and sexy, it was scary AF. I knew I needed to dive into something beautiful right after that, and who better to take that dive with than Riley. I've read literally EVERY WORD this lady has ever written. And every time I pick up another book I'm thinking in the back of my mind, well I hope this is as good as her last book. And I'm NEVER disappointed. I do love an age gap story and this one was a doozy! But no one else can deal with it as masterfully as Riley. I always feel it so deeply, the relationship she writes for her MC's, right from my heart down to my toes. Dylan and Clay both have issues to deal with and the way Ms Hart writes, shows us how they come to learn to do just that, is what makes her writing so wonderful. Every relationship she writes about feels so real to me. You need to pick this up and see for yourself. Everyone needs a little Trouble in their lives! I'm so glad I chose this as my next read. It'll stay with me for a while!😊
I think this is my favorite Riley book to date.If you cry easy, you might need a tissue, this one is pretty angsty.Clay and Dylan work really well together, and like most Riley Hart books, this has a strong real world feel. The things in these books could easily be about a friend or a neighbor.The only thing is, I would have liked to see Dylan start a booth or etsy with his talent, since a lot of the book was about conquering self doubt, it would have rounded it out.
Riley Hart is one of my favorite authors to read so when she said that she would be writing her first May/December book (which is one of my favorite tropes) I was ready to devour this book. I swear there were so many moments that had me going "aww" like that slow dance in the middle of their living room.
Awesome May/December story! You fall in love with both characters so quickly & get sucked into their stories. I love how real she makes them. Not letting them fall too fast or too easily but also not drowning me in too much angst! I get enough angst in my life..I come to read these books for the love, laughs, passion & yes, the scorching hot sex!!! :D This book has all of that! A must read!!!
Riley Hart weaves her usual magic! Wow, that's all I can say. What a beautiful love story!!This is an amazing, deeply moving May/December romance with absolutely lovable, well-written, 3-dimensional MC's. Trouble and Sad Eyes are opposites in many ways, but they so obviously belong together. I'm in love :-)
I absolutely loved this story. Both Dylan and Clay think they’re broken, but they really only needed to see themselves through their partners eyes. I loved how they clicked quickly but still struggled. And the sass! I loved the sass! I hope we see more of them in the future.
I couldn't wait to read this book. The hype was crazy! I fell in love with Dylan and Clay. Riley writes with so much emotion. She makes you want to get to know her characters and the issues they conquer together. Loved this book hope you will too.
Beautiful May/Dec love story. This genre is not usually one I enjoy but this book was so wonderfully written that I couldn’t help but love it! Dylan and Clay gave me all the feels!
